He’s the Chain Breaker #TraditionallySouthside

On the way to church this morning, I had church. I heard this song on the radio for the first time, and I was just about to shout by the time it was over, so I thought you might like the words. You can watch it on YouTube, so if you’ve never heard it, you need to look for it.

Chain Breaker by Zach Williams

If you’ve been walking the same old road for miles and miles
If you’ve been hearing the same old voice tell the same old lies
If you’re trying to feel the same old holes inside
There’s a better life
There’s a better life

If you’ve got pain
He’s a pain taker
If you feel lost
He’s a way maker
If you need freedom or saving
He’s a prison-shaking Savior
If you’ve got chains
He’s a chain breaker

We’ve all searched for the light of day in the dead of night
We’ve all found ourselves worn out from the same old fight
We’ve all run to things we know just ain’t right
And there’s a better life
There’s a better life

If you believe it
If you receive it
If you can feel it
Somebody testify

Isn’t it great to know that He is our pain-taker, our way-maker, our prison-shaking Savior who is also our chain-breaker? When you think about how that applies to your life as a Christian, I don’t think you can help but to “get all excited, go tell everybody that Jesus Christ is still the King of Kings.” That’s what the apostle Paul did when his chains were broken. Immediately he went to the Temple and started preaching about Jesus. And EVERYONE who has ever been set free by the shed blood of Jesus has an overwhelming desire to do the same thing. Have your chains been broken?
